Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner
The Utah Democratic Party is excited to announce that we will be holding our annual Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner on Saturday, May 30th at Utah’s Hogle Zoo!
The Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner honors the legacy of Todd Taylor and Senators Karen & Ed Mayne. Three leaders whose impact on the Utah Democratic Party and Utah’s labor movement continues to shape our work today.
Todd Taylor was a beloved organizer, strategist, and grassroots leader who dedicated his life to growing Democratic power in Utah. He believed deeply in building community, mentoring new activists, and strengthening the grassroots foundation of our party.
Senator Karen Mayne dedicated her career to standing up for working families, public schools, and union workers, earning a reputation as one of the Legislature’s strongest advocates for working Utahns.
Senator Ed Mayne was a longtime labor leader and former President of the Utah AFL-CIO who spent decades strengthening unions and fighting for working Utahns both at the Capitol and on the job.
We'll be honoring Deborah Gattrell with the Todd Taylor Democratic Gains Award and Carlos Vasquez with the Karen & Ed Mayne Labor Champion Award in recognition of their outstanding commitment to Democratic values!
