The State Convention will be held at Cottonwood High School (5715 S 1300 E, Murray) on April 27th, from 8 AM to 5 PM (or until business is finished). The convention is near the North parking lot. You can find a link to the map here, as well as an invitation to the Taylor & Mayne Awards Dinner on April 26th. Please arrive with proof of identification and remember to wear comfortable shoes.

Parking is limited, so we encourage you to carpool or take public transit. You can use UTA’s trip planner app here.

Food will not be provided by the Utah Democratic Party; however, there will be food sold at nearby kiosks, some candidates will offer snacks, and there will be a food truck on site.

If you are interested in being a volunteer for Convention, please fill out this form.

Convention is only the first step in electing more Democrats in Utah. What we need is a sea of volunteers to support our great candidates, whether it is once a month or once a week, volunteering with a campaign is the best way to keep the #BlueWave momentum in 2024.

Constitutional Revisions

More than a year ago, the Central Committee approved the creation of a new select committee to improve our UDP governing documents. This came in response to longstanding concerns about the state of current governing documents as well as the difficulty felt by members trying to navigate and utilize them.

The select committee has met regularly since late last year and recently finished work on a revised UDP Constitution proposal. The proposal contains the revised constitution language, as well as notes from the select committee which summarize changes in each section.

The revised constitution was debated and discussed by the Executive Committee, which voted positively to forward them to the Central Committee, which also voted to forward the constitutional revisions to the State Convention.

The approved language will be presented to State Delegates for ratification at our upcoming State Convention through an up or down vote. You can read the document here.
