Field Staff - Northern Utah
Position Overview
The Democrats of Northern Utah Squad is seeking part-time field staff to support the coordinated campaign for the 2026 election cycle in Northern Utah, covering Weber, Davis, Cache, Wasatch, and Summit Counties.
Staff will be responsible for executing direct voter contact programs, and expanding Democratic voter engagement across targeted regions. Staff will report to the Field Organizer covering the region.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist with canvassing, phone banking, and text banking efforts to help meet weekly voter contact goals
Learn and use NGP VAN to help manage turf, cut lists, and track voter contact data
Help create and distribute walk packets, call lists, and text universes
Assist with accurate and timely data entry and maintenance of voter records
Assist with GOTV (Get Out The Vote) efforts, including early vote and Election Day operations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Commitment to Democratic values and electing Democrats in Utah
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Willingness to travel to Weber County for daily work
Qualifications
Preferred Skills
Prior campaign, organizing, or volunteer experience a plus (not required)
Familiarity with NGP VAN or similar voter databases
Strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with Northern Utah communities and political landscape
Compensation
$21.56/hr
Flexible scheduling around school or other commitments
